Jaguar debuted its all-electric concept car, the Type 00, during Miami Art Week, showcasing the brand’s reimagined identity. The Type 00 previews a production electric four-door GT set for a 2025 launch. This vehicle will feature the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) platform and target a range of 770 km (478 miles WLTP) or 430 miles (692 km EPA). Quick charging capabilities will allow for a 321 km (200 miles) recharge in just 15 minutes.
The unveiling follows Jaguar’s introduction of a new visual identity in November 2024, signaling its evolution while staying true to its heritage. CEO Adrian Mardell emphasized Jaguar’s commitment to recapturing its legacy of luxury and innovation, inspired by iconic models like the E-Type. Managing Director Rawdon Glover highlighted the “fearlessly creative” direction of Jaguar’s future, blending the brand’s DNA with forward-looking relevance.
Jaguar’s transformation is part of Jaguar Land Rover’s broader strategy under Tata Motors’ ownership, focusing on innovation and electrification. The Type 00 and its forthcoming production version aim to position Jaguar as a leader in electric luxury vehicles.
To celebrate its design ethos, Jaguar curated gallery spaces at Miami Art Week, aligning its automotive and artistic visions. This presentation reinforces Jaguar’s dedication to artistry and emotional appeal as it transitions to an electric future.
